Assignment 4- Assemble

 Script for my object's joint

3D printing in process:
3D printer's 1st failure:  machine jam. from the unfinished product, I realized that raft parts cannot be removed, so it is better not to tick the "raft" function.
3D printer's 2nd and 3rd failure:  machine cannot melt filament continuously, some layers were missing.  


Script for my object's planar elements

1. Create surface in rhino
 2. Use grasshopper to extrude the surface and hollow two circles (for above two strips to go through)

 3. Create Bounding Box and set up series of planes for slicing

 4. Bake the model for laser-cut

Assignment2-Grasshopper for 3D printing



1. "Divide" two curves




2. "SHIFT" all divided points and connect them to get the nest pattern and use ''Move'' function to make more layers (or duplicate series of same script group to increase the thickness of object) if needed.
3. Simply use "Pipe" tool to manipulate a 3D object.
4. Put in the MakerWare
